TELEGRAPH: Mixed Messages from Joint Force Command on Bornholm

Matthew Simmons – Defence Correspondent

A press briefing today left the media no more reassured about the developing situation in Bornhorn. Although JFC stated that they were aware of media reports, and the concern they could be causing, they reiterated a message of reassurance and preparedness.

However, The Telegraph has been informed that, in spite of the official statements from the Senior Spokesperson of the MoD, the situation remains “bad”. Furthermore, the Primary Spokesperson refused to rule out military action, despite repeatedly stating that this was an area of ‘Danish Concern’ before asking to Secondary Spokesperson, an RAF wing commander, to take over.

There is, therefore, an aura of confusion surrounding developments around Bornholm.

More to follow.
