Sanctuary in Sweden:

Miriam Perry. 28.2.17

As this weary day comes to an end, Bornholmians may find peace in the homes of their close neighbours.

When Bornholm’s tourist board took to encouraging people to see the island from a helicopter, they surely could not have foreseen this! Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven has said in an official press briefing that Bornholmian citizens are welcome until this conflict is over.

In the latest UK media press conference it was confirmed that 50 Russian troops have landed on Bornholm and doubt is still rampant over how far Russia intends to push this aggressive action.

As the day starts to draw to a close we must ask for whom is the exclusion zone working and for how long?
